Fictional Feasts: Authors & Their Recipes

Sometimes I need a break from my computer. And during the holiday time of year, I love to take my breaks in the kitchen. Bread! Casseroles! Cookies! Pies! Soups! The list of what I love to cook goes on. (I especially love baking bread.) While my concoctions don't always work out, I have fun trying.
That's why I decided to offer a different post today. Instead of focusing on writing topics, I wanted to share some cooking fun in the form of recipes from fiction writers. Cookbook authors are fabulous--of course. But I also enjoy reading recipes by authors who bring out their foodie suggestions through their characters and twisty or swoony plots, or through their reader blogs and newsletters. Wherever the recipes come from, there's a special kitchen joy connecting with fiction authors who cook.
If you're curious about who mixes recipes into their stories, check out this round up from Goodreads: Click here.
On top of that, I've curated a short list of recipe sites by fiction authors where I've found some delicious suggestions. I hope you'll check them out and give the authors a 'like' or leave a comment about their cooking inspiration.

If you're an author with a baking-recipe-guest-post-idea you'd like to pitch, say hello. Or if you want to recommend a writer who folds recipes into their plots, by all means braise that comment button and leave a link so that everybody can benefit!
